Patient presented for irregular prolonged vaginal bleeding for one month.

Patient Data

Age: 20-25Y
Gender: Female

Dominant ovarian follicle with multiple smaller peripheral cystic structures, compatible with cumulus oophorus.

Case Discussion

A cumulus oophorus is a radiological normal variant in the ovaries.They may occasionally be seen during a pelvic ultrasound on a premenopausal woman, and should not be confused with a pathological finding.
