Incidental finding of a deep capitate fossa. No fracture.

Case Discussion

The capitate fossa is the concavity on the radial aspect of the capitate with which the scaphoid articulates. Occasionally it is deeper than normal producing this distinctive radiographic appearance 1. It is not known to have any pathological sequelae.
