Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

The sella is empty and enlarged. The sella contains fluid of CSF density. Note the normal gland has been pushed to the bottom of the sella.

Case Discussion

Features are consistent with an empty sella - this is seen as both a normal variant and as a sign of pathology.
