Normal Eustachean tube

Presented with right sided conductive hearing loss. Left ear which is shown here was normal.

Patient Data

Age: 13 years
Gender: Female

Oblique axial CT image through the temporal bone shows normal longitudinal course of the left Eustachean tube. 

Case Discussion

The Eustachean tube connects the tympanic cavity with the nasopharynx and has a bony lateral one third and cartilagenous medial two thirds.
