FRCR 2B Reporting Practice Exams - Online
September 2020 Practice Exams
Radiopaedia has scheduled four online practice exams intended for individuals sitting the FRCR Part B Reporting Exam. Exams have now passed (see exam dates).
Exam Answers are now available. No more Practice Exams
Each practice exam is designed for self-assessment with each case accompanied by a model answer, scoring guide and five scored example answers typed by real candidates under exam conditions (read more). Our test candidate results for each practice exam and corresponding actual FRCR Part 2 Reporting exam score are shown below. All candidates passed the actual exam.
Please be sure to read ALL the information on this page including our disclaimer before registering.
For FRCR Part B, 2020
Online Exam Format
Each practice exam consists of 6 cases that have been specifically selected for the FRCR 2B Reporting Practice Exams and are not public elsewhere on Radiopaedia.org. They have been drawn from different radiology subspecialty areas and may be single or multi-modality.
Cases will be generally pitched at a higher difficulty than the actual exam to challenge your answer technique, extend your knowledge and challenge your exam technique and timing.
Each case has BACK, MENU and NEXT buttons to facilitate navigation through the exam. It is recommended that candidates set up a split-screen with the practice exam in one window and a word processing document in another window.
While we have allowed a 3-hour window on Saturday afternoons and again on Sunday mornings for registrants to access each practice exam, candidates should try to restrict themselves to no more than 75 minutes to best simulate the actual Reporting exam. Only one device may access the exam per registered user account at any time
Scoring templates and example answers
Registrants will not submit their answers to Radiopaedia for marking. Instead, you will receive a model answer for each case, a scoring guide for each case and scored example answers provided by five real candidates each of whom went on to sit the FRCR part B written exams directly after providing these answers (see results summary at top of page). It is our experience that the model answers, scoring guides and genuine candidate example answers provide an excellent mechanism for self-assessment and improvement.
The answers for exams 2, 3 and 4 will be available directly after the Sunday morning session and will be accessible up until the next week's practice exam. After practice exam 4, the answers for all four practice exams (24 cases in total) will be accessible for viewing up until the exam. After this date, the exams and cases will no longer be accessible.
DisclaimerThese practice exams are in no way approved or endorsed by the Royal College of Radiologists. We, Radiopedia Events Pty Ltd, have created these practice exams independently based on available information and the experience of our radiologists. While we have taken great effort to produce a useful resource for candidates, we cannot take any responsibility for actual examination performance.
The cases used in these FRCR practice exams are (almost) the same as those featured in our RANZCR eFilm Practice Exams and so we would recommend only registering for one of the two and not both.
