Sarcoidosis

Discussion:

The chest radiograph demonstrated bi-hilar lymphadenopathy with widening of the superior mediastinum.

The CT (for which limited slices are shown) confirmed mediastinal and bi-hilar lymphadenopathy.  Enlarged main pulmonary artery. No consolidation.

The differential includes sarcoidosis, TB and lymphoma.  The appearance and distribution of nodes is suggestive of sarcoidosis and this was confirmed at transbronchial nodal biopsy.
